What are some easy to care for pets that are cheap?

I'm looking for a new animal for my birthday ?(preferably exotic or strange) that costs very cheap and is reptilian, lizard, frog snake, turtle, etc. WHats are some reptiles or exotic pets that are cheap%26amp;easy to care for?|||I don't know if there are any cheap pets that are reptilian because they require a specialised habitat .. (for example: a special internally heated area). A hermit crab can be exotic and strange, but you may think they're lame. I think hermit crabs are quite cheap.

If you're thinking of getting something furry, you should consider getting mice, rabbits or guinea pigs.

Mice are the cheapest pets .. they're only about $3 for one. Cages cost approximately $20 depending on the amount of mice you get. Mice need to be fed daily and water must be changed regularly. There are several good sites on the internet that advise you on how to take care of mice.

Guinea pigs are lovable, fun and cuddly pets too. They are a bit more expensive than mice but are extremely great companions.|||Cheap to buy? If you are looking for affordable pets try the penny saver. No exotic animal is completely easy to care for. It honestly depends on the Pet themself, because each of them have some health care problems that they can develop and the more exotic the animal, the more expensive finding a vet for them is. I would go with a hamster...They are pretty easy.|||I recommend a snake.

Snakes can make great pets for anyone- children or adults. In general, they are simple to care for and very interesting.

I recommend you look into corn snakes and ball pythons. These two species are recommended for children or anyone new to keeping reptiles, and for good reason.

They come in so many different variations, colors, and patterns, they have good temperaments, and are quite easy to maintain.

Before you get any animal, no matter how simple the care is, always do extensive research.|||try hamsters there no reptilian but i know all about them. i have two and no it costs about 10 dollors every other month to care for one of mine. they cost about 5 to 10 bucks to buy then food about 5-6 bucks a bag which lasts forever! they bedding costs about 3-6 bucks and the cage can drive u into some cash depending on what u want! they range from15$ (standerd) - 50$ (those are the awkwardly big ones) in all ur looking at around 30-40$! not to bad id say!!!!GOOD LUCK and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!|||How about a fire-belly newt? They are small so don't require much space, and are pretty easy to take care of. I'm not sure on cost, but I've seen them in nearly every pet store I have ever gone into. You can handle them and they are pretty darn cool.|||I did a terrarium and put in a few pillbugs (I like the species). With bits of tree bark and some rotted wood they increased to over 200 by the time I let them go in the fall. They were very interesting to watch--sort of like prehistoric trilobites.|||Well if your up to it, Snake!!! They are easy and cheap they need an aqurium and a mouse or two a month and they also need a heat lamp and thats about it!!! It easy cheap and not much of a mess.|||Exotic animals do not belong as pets. It is cruel to keep them confined and out of their natural environment. They're not domesticated. Consider a cat--they're the easiest pet!|||cockroaches and ants|||Exotic pets aren't cheap. May I suggest a fish?|||Chipmunk
