Keep in mind I have a little brother so they have to be somewhat kid friendly. I want a pet that not many people have and I live in California and a lot of uncommon pets are illegal here. Thank you(:|||Depending on how much time you gonna devote to your pet, I would start out with a gold fish. there are very resilient and you can feed it once a day. Get the aquarium with all the accessories and a very heavy duty filtration system and you don't ever have to clean it. It cleans itself, however you need to change the filter at least once a month and add water when the water level goes down. You could get a parakeet or any other type of bird. fill the little cups with food and water, then clean every other day and you will have a happy bird.
Hamsters are also good little pets. Rabbits and Guinea pigs don't live very long. let me know if this helps.|||Hamster's can be nice but they are very common and they sleep all day and are up on their wheel and running around the cage all night so they aren't a good idea to keep in a bedroom. Try a rabbit they are mostly friendly but can leave a mess behind if you allow it to run around your house. Rabbits are also very cuddly.|||A pair of rats!
You need two because they're very, very social.
They'll bond with you better than any other small animal and are cleaner than cats and dogs! Pet rats are about as different to sewer rats as dogs are to wolves. You can teach them tricks because they're very intelligent. They're the least likely rodent to bite and are very sweet and gentle. You can play with them and carry them everywhere on your shoulders or pockets.
They'll snuggle and bond with you and be awesome.|||Honestly.. a rat. They're SUCH good pets, loyal.. but a tad bit messy. Not too much worse than a hamster. I had one and it ended up having babies so we gave one to our neighbor. They kept it in their basement and when they'd open the door the rat would come running up to be fed. Wouldn't bite and it would let you pick it up without problems. Not to mention they're CUTEEE(:|||Guinea pig? Very friendly, don't bite, and are soooo cute!|||hamster|||have u tried a hamster or maby a fish
