Are abandoned squirrels legal to keep as pets in Florida?
My fiance was working on a house and him and his co-workers ran across four abandoned squirrels in some insulation. Their eyes are open and have fur, so they aren't infants, i just would like to know if we could keep two of them as pets and not get in trouble for it. Florida.|||yes, as long as you care for them and train them to be squirrels. you have to get a cage and do some research on food. Get kitten milk formula and try bottle feeding them with kitten bottles if they are too old for that start with some soft nuts like a walnut. They need lots of fiber. Get a bird cage or make a chicken wire cage for them and make them a warm nest. If you do not make them a nest they will make one...it is awful to find your squirrels happy in your torn up 230 dollar duvet cover like I did. Here is a great website: http://animal-world.com/encyclo/critters鈥?/a>|||uhhh...ask a police office...because I don't know, the most exotic pets I like are fish and hermit crabs!|||it's not illegal unless you get caught.
