I know that one Telsa is 10,000 Gauss but I want to know how that cant be interpreted into lbf between two metals...i.e.
if two bars of iron have 1 Telsa of magnetic force between them then how much lbf does that feel like.....with varying distances. between 1-5cm|||A Tesla is a unit of magnetic intensity, not of magnetic force. That means your question is meaningless. The correct way to ask your question is how strong (in Newtons) is the force of one Tesla with one ampere going across a one meter length of wire. This answer would be one Newton. Teslas measure the number of magnetic flux lines across (I think) a cubic meter of space. If that line (or the source of magnetism) is moving then an electric current can be produced in the line. That current creates a voltage that is called Electromotive Force (or Electromotive Potential), and its strength can me measured.
