Is it harder to get Military housing with pets?

I have a cat and 3 snakes. We will be moving into base housing within the next year and I was wondering if it is harder to get housing with pets? I've hear that snakes aren't allowed on bases is that true? What is the average wait time for base housing if you have pets?|||Pet or no pet does not affect your position on the waiting list for housing.

Snakes will not be allowed, as they are exotics, but confirm this with your housing office. Some bases are more liberal than others.

Most bases will only allow 2 animals per housing unit, so you are over the limit allowable.

Good luck!|||Just hope that you aren't stationed where Green Berets or Rangers are stationed since you have snakes.

S-snack food

N-nicely cooked

A-awesome flavor

K-keep on menu

E-everyone should try|||I'm pretty sure that "exotic" pets are not allowed. Either that, or each counts as 1 pet.

All of the military housing that I've lived in allows two pets as long as you let them know their info before you move in.

I've never had a problem getting in military housing with pets.

We've lived on two bases, and once I got right into military housing, since all of the poeple on the waiting list weren't able to break their current lease, and I was, I was launched to the front of the line.|||I didn't think pets were allowed|||The wait time goes by rank and bedroom allotment not by if you do or don't have pets. In the 6 posts we've been to I've never seen them have housing set aside just for those with dogs/cats and then some just for those without animals. None of the posts we've ever been to have allowed exotic animals (snakes, lizards ETC) to live in quarters, Fish, cats and dogs are acceptable but that is pretty much it. Best bet is to check with your housing office for info|||the snakes will be a MAJOR issue. in fact I can almost guarantee you will NOT be permitted to reside in base housing with them.
