What breeds of rabbit do they sell at pets at home?

I am going to be getting 3 rabbits from pets at home as I have a huge hutch run that I have prepared for them. But I really want different types of breeds preferably an English, lion head, Dutch or lop. If anyone knows what breeds they have please let me know :D|||Hi,

They have different rabbits week to week in Pets at Home.

There are a few crosses, but most are actually recognisable breeds or recognisable crosses. They are not show quality and may have been crossed somewhere down the line so size etc cannot be guaranteed.

Usually they have:

Dwarf Lops (these are not small - they are a dwarf version of a lop)

English spots (normally black and white, some brown, orange or grey)

Dutch (Various colours)

They sometimes have rexes, lionheads and very occasionally nethies and argentes. As well as cross breeds.

What your store has will depend on what the breeder has sent them. Get 3 rabbits (females) that are living together already. Try not to pick them out of different cages as you cannot guarantee they will get on.

Call up the store and see what they have in and even what day their new bunnies come out.

Please do also think about rescue - www.rabbitrehome.org.uk has a list and pics of lots of bunnies (in groups and singles) in need of homes :)

Most pet shops know nothing about rabbits, let alone their breeds, ages or sexes once they're in the store. Breeders (reputable ones, anyway) are very educated about the breeds they raise and will be able to help you find the perfect match much better than any pet shop could.

Or, of course, you can seek out a rescue. Often purebred rabbits come into rescues as well and they are just as fine. :)|||99.9% cross breeds with certain leanings towards different "types". You can never guarantee exact breeds from a store, nor can you guarantee they will be healthy or even sexed correctly!

Have you considered a rescue instead? Who will have already bonded, neutered/spayed and vet checked trios desperate for new homes?

If you buy three babies from P@H you will have to split them up at 4-6 months old, get them neutered/spayed (neutering costs 拢50+, spaying 拢70-拢100+) and then hope that they bond again after they have healed from their surgeries (healing will take about a month). And bonding rabbits can be hit or miss anyway! P@H do NOT sell neutered/spayed rabbits, they do not thoroughly vet check and they do not vaccinate either.
